York City Walls

Next up we have York City Walls, a famous tourist attraction free for all visitors of York to see! The York City Walls were built in AD71 by the Romans with the intention of keeping their city safe. In AD867 the Vikings were said to have upgraded the wall making it stronger than it had been before. Furthermore, the wall was upgraded to tough stone in 1226, which is how the wall still remains to this very day. A great day out in the fresh air!

Royal Armouries Museum

The Royal Armouries Museum is an interesting attraction of Yorkshire, located further West of Yorkshire. This museum is filled with a collection of British national armour and weapons, which were used by mediaeval knights and soldiers to this day. With over 75,000 objects in the museum, you’re sure to have a fantastic day exploring the countless displays, exhibitions and art galleries inside. This museum is also free, meaning no excuse to not try it out!

Ingleton Waterfalls Trail

Next on our list is the Ingleton Waterfall Trails, a stunning landmark trail that you can enjoy all year round. It’s a great opportunity to get outdoors with yourself, your friends and family, exploring nature and all the gorgeous views that surround. Furthermore, there is a specialised trail which you can follow, usually taking 2 to 4 hours depending on how you take the walk. It’s a beautiful trail with lots to discover! 

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

This is a brilliant attraction in Yorkshire and in fact the UK’s number one walk through wildlife experience. Discovering dinosaurs to Hyenas to Zebras, the park offers an enormous amount of things to see and do. If you’re thinking what I’m thinking, ‘dinosaurs don’t exist right?’. At Yorkshire Wildlife Park you can immerse yourself in the world of dinosaur discovery, with an exciting section dedicated to only dinosaurs!
